Make the wrong choice

Sometimes, we want to believe that as creatives, we are “open-minded”, as the book says we have to be, but we’re feeling all the things that make us stuck and unhappy. As much as I would like to say the opposite: you are not seeing the bigger picture. You’re choosing to be indecisive.

We’ve all been there—staring at a blank page or a project that just isn’t coming together, overwhelmed by all the choices. You think, "Should I go this way or that way? What if I make the wrong choice?" That feeling? That’s confusing, and it can be really frustrating. Creativity hit a wall. Action too.

If you have trouble with:

→ Making decisions
→ Overthinking
→ Making mistakes
→ Procrastination
→ Seeking constant validation

You end up not making any decision because you’re too worried about making the wrong one. The result? It stops you from creating anything at all.

When you’re open-minded, you’re not stuck in that maze. Instead, you’re exploring it, checking out all possibilities. You’re not rushing to pick a direction because you’re curious about all the possibilities.

Openness doesn’t confuse you; it brings clarity. By being open to different ideas and experiences, you gather all this information and inspiration, and that helps you make a decision that feels right. Open-mindedness doesn’t mean you never decide—it means you decide with more confidence and creativity because you’ve truly explored all the options you could have explored.

Being indecisive leaves you stuck, but being open-minded sets you free.

"Indecision is the thief of opportunity." — Jim Rohn

Embrace that curiosity, explore those possibilities, and trust that in doing so, you’ll find the inner guidance you need to create something you’re proud of.
