Grow in the dark. Fast. And quiet.

how to know when it's the right moment to (re)start

It’s funny how we tell ourselves next year is going to be the one. The year where things click, where we finally make those big moves, where the creative flow just… happens. But here’s the hard truth I’ve learned: waiting for the “perfect time” is a trap. A subtle one, but a trap nonetheless.

How many ideas, passions, or projects have you put off because it didn’t feel like the right moment? The illusion of more time, of fresh starts. And while the calendar resets, you don’t necessarily have to wait for January 1st to put your vision into action.

In fact, the end of the year might be the best time to plant the seeds for your future self.

What you do now, even in the messiness of daily life, shapes your creative trajectory more than any New Year’s resolution ever will. Progress comes from quiet, consistent steps—especially when everyone else is pausing or waiting for that clean slate.

Here’s a thought experiment:

  • What would it feel like to walk into 2025 already in motion—instead of just starting?

  • What clarity could you gain by facing those blocks that have held you back, instead of pushing them aside? (like you’ve been doing over and over?)

  • What would change if you gave yourself permission to act on your creative vision, imperfectly?

These are questions I’ve been asking myself and the creatives I’ve worked with for years. And when you stop searching for the ideal moment and start honouring your journey as it is—right now—it’s like everything clicks into place.

For 2025 to be yours, the groundwork starts today. Whether that’s defining your creative identity or simply finding the confidence to start without all the answers.

I’m putting together a space where we can dive into this more deeply, and I’ll be sharing details soon. But before I do, I want to leave you with this:

You are closer to clarity than you think. The version of yourself that’s ready to create, grow, and thrive isn’t waiting for a future date—it’s you, right now. All that’s left is to give yourself permission to begin.
